Benitez
51% career win rate

C&P
West Ham United are pondering a move for Rafa Benitez at the end of the season as a possible replacement for Sam Allardyce.

The Hammers have won just one of their last 12 Premier League games, piling the pressure on manager Allardyce despite a strong first half of the season.

Allardyce, who has been in charge for almost four years, is expected to leave Upton Park in the summer when his contract expires.

That would leave West Ham needing a new manager in their final season at Upton Park before the move to the Olympic Stadium in 2016 - and the Hammers hierarchy could look to make an ambitious appointment.

Rafa Benitez could make a shock return to the Premier League with West Ham.

The Spaniard is currently managing in Italy with Napoli, but will also be out of contract come the summer and West Ham are considering a move to hire Benitez.

The 54-year-old famously won the Champions League during his time in charge of Liverpool, and boasts a 51% win percentage over his career as manager of Real Madrid B, Villarreal, Osasuna, Extremadura, Tenerife, Valencia, Liverpool, Inter Milan, Chelsea and Napoli.a

Re: Benitez
Benitez' management style and methods are only suitable to big clubs with a lot of money. Fairly obvious to me, but there you go.

Re: Benitez
A good manager who has been at some of Europe's biggest clubs and has won the greatest prize in club football isn't good enough for a club who have hardly done anything in the past 30 years. Why?

PD

I would say only Liverpool a d Inter are bigger than us out of that lot and chelsea richer.

he is a really good manager and I would be delighted if were to come.

Re: Benitez
I doubt anyone would disagree he is a more successful manager than Sam. Even Sam would admit that. But that doesn't mean he is right for us right now.

And I just don't get how people can be happy with him or Moyes. I get you can be happy with one and not the other, but seeing as both are very different manavers that would take the club in different directions, by saying you'd be happy with either is really saying you don't care what direction the club goes in and surely that is more important than what manager we have, in fact that drives what manager we have or at least it should. My choosing a manger first you're putting the cart before the horse.

Logically Benitez should be our No 1 choice. Sadly, West Ham United don't do logical.

I'm not saying he isn't, but could you explain why you think he is the logical choice?
